Chesswood's referees are fully experienced and exercise a zero tolerance policy toward rough and unfair play, allowing for safe and enjoyable games.

Our leagues are professionally operated, with a head referee and an experienced full-time Convener who oversees each game and compiles player and game statistics.

Leagues have teams in up to 6 divisions from A to E. The winter league runs from mid September to the end of April, and the Summer League runs from end of May to end of August.

Teams play one game per week, on the same day each week - so you always know when "game day" is! Game days are either Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. (On occasion however, teams may be required to play up to three games on an alternate night to allow some scheduling flexibility). 

Players must play a required number of games in order to qualify for the playoffs. 

Team rosters are limited to 20 players, 17 may dress for the game (17th player must be backup goalie)

Teams must phone Arena one week before League starts for first game time.
